Don't you just HATE IT when Christian radio stations overplay a new song that comes out? WCIC is doing that with the new Steven Curtis Chapman song "Cinderella"... It seems like everytime I have WCIC on in the car or at the house they have to play that song.
If there is one thing (yes, I'm limiting it to just one thing) WCIC hasn't figured out how to do yet it's how to play a good variety of songs and styles over a 24-hour period. They're doing a little better job of it, but as a whole... they've got a long way to go. WAY too predictable at times what's going to come next on their play list.
But, let's be honest... what Christian radio station plays a good variety of songs & styles? Zippo!! Sad thing is, it's not like we can just switch to another Christian station. That's what REALLY stinks... no choice in our listening. So... out come the CD's.

I actually do listen to Truth 103 quite a bit, but... to be honest, I don't appreciate some of the narrowly focused catholic programming they carry. If they want a wider supporting audience they need to reach out beyond the walls of "Catholicism is the only way," which has been heard many times in their programming.
I see how something that may seem mysterious and not understood (like Catholicism), can be scary and become attacked. Hopefully this will bring up some questions for future discussion (or individual research) and also clarify things you already posted.
If the programming on Truth 103 was something other than Catholic (such as Protestant or no teaching) programs, would you say that its focus is narrow? (Probably not.) The word Catholic means universal, so the word itself is not narrow. Also, Catholicism actually includes more and has less rules than one would think. Shocking, I know, but it is true!
The only way? The only way to what or where? Maybe this will help. Page 69 of an online pdf titled Catholic Apologetics Guide 101
(written by a convert to Catholicism) says the following:
The would be little or no opposition between Catholics and Protestants if the Catholic Church would drop her claim to being the only true religion of Christianity. You mentioned a wider support. I highly doubt there would be a bigger support base if Catholicism was not mentioned. It was not always mentioned on air (not part of the early programming on Truth 103). There were no live persons on the air at first (not for quite a while, anyway). I think there was music (and music shows) for a while before anything Catholic was on the air. Later programming eventually would include more than just music, but also teaching (the Truth), which is why the station is WEWT Truth 103 (We Educate With Truth). Someone needs to broadcast the Truth and I know others who feel the same way.
You did not say how much or how long you have listened but it does not sound like too long. Otherwise, you might know about the history of the station, that there were never big bucks flowing in, not even before the Catholic programming. A couple of people gave substantial amounts to start things and a few others joined in, and that is how it got going.
